Privacy policy
Mezcal Studio (“we”, “us”) builds and looks after websites for small and medium businesses. We’re based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit mezcalstudio.com, fill out our form, call, text, or email us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, business name, phone number, email address, and the message you write in our contact form, a text, or an email. This includes photos or files you attach.
- Phone calls and voicemail. Your phone number, the time and length of the call, and, if you leave a voicemail, the recording and an automatic transcript.
- Website visits. We use Google Analytics to see how people use our site: pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser, and how you found us. Google Analytics uses cookies. We don’t collect anything that identifies you by name through analytics.
- Client work. If you become a client, the information you give us to build and update your website and listings.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and give you a quote.
- To make the changes you ask for and provide the services in your plan.
- To call or text you back about your request.
- To improve our website.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for anyone else’s advertising.
Text messages (SMS)
When you call or text our business number, we may send you text messages about your request. For example, if we miss your call, we may send one text to let you know we’ll call you back. Clients may also get texts about their website changes and appointments.
- Message frequency varies, based on your conversation with us.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the email or phone number below.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to any third party.
Who helps us run things
We use a few trusted providers to deliver our services. They only receive the information they need to do their job:
- Twilio for our business phone line, voicemail, and text messages.
- Twilio SendGrid to deliver contact form messages and alerts to our inbox.
- Google for website hosting (Firebase) and analytics (Google Analytics).
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep messages, voicemails, and contact details as long as we need them to work with you, and for client records as long as you’re a client plus a reasonable period after. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we have to keep it by law.
Your choices
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you by emailing us.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out of text messages.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page with a new effective date.
